Job detail

Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the greenhouse and building equipment, performing inspections and maintenance, managing component orders, tracking tasks through maintenance software, and assembling special projects in welding, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical work. You will also be required to perform any other tasks your superior requests.

Your role

Inspect and Maintain All Greenhouse Equipment

You ensure everything runs smoothly. From irrigation, heating, and cooling systems to vehicles, agricultural machinery, lifts, pallet jacks, and greenhouse carts, you are at the heart of the action, keeping everything in perfect working order!

Communicate Ordering Needs

Your quick identification and sharing of information on components to be ordered significantly contribute to our supply chain’s smooth and efficient operation.

Track Tasks with Precision

Using the maintenance software (Planner), you monitor assigned tasks and ensure optimal priority management to avoid unexpected issues.

Assemble and Innovate for Special Projects

With your skills in welding, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity, you assemble and mount various components for our special projects, actively contributing to the innovation of our facilities.

Support the Team with Flexibility

Always ready to help, you handle any other tasks your supervisor requests, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Required skills

Education and Experience

Possess a DEP/AEC or Certificate in industrial mechanics, automotive, or electromechanical systems automation, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles.

Technical Skills

Excellent skills in mechanics, plumbing, electricity, and welding are essential for the position.

Physical Abilities

Ability to work at heights and withstand indoor and outdoor working conditions, regardless of the seasons.

Professional Qualities

Demonstrate efficiency, autonomy, resourcefulness, and versatility in executing assigned tasks.

Availability and Flexibility

The willingness to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

English and/or Spanish Speaking, an Asset

The ability to communicate in these languages may be an additional advantage, facilitating communication with colleagues or suppliers.
